DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS:
Position Overview:
To properly clean, fill, seal and label beverage containers on various production lines for shipment. To ensure quality, weight and labeling of product containers. To load/unload packaged goods and concentrates onto trailers. To blend and manufacture finished product from raw materials. To perform job responsibilities in compliance with Company, State and Federal regulatory agency requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain logs and records
• Operates Filler/Packaging/Boxforming/Palletizing Equipment
• Load packages, containers onto machines
• Supply line with raw materials needed
• Check for proper filling, seals, damaged product
• Operate sealing equipment, seal containers
• Supply glue machines with glue
• Set up printers/labelers for various flavors
• Operate filling/cleaning equipment via computer screens
• Move filled containers/packages to storage
• Weigh containers/perform process checks
• Records statistical data and number of containers filled
• Rework product if damaged containers (leakers) or pour up waste syrup
• Wash equipment between flavors and clean & sanitize equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and clear jams on machines as needed
• Forklift operations/inspections
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
• Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures
• Follow TCCQS procedures
• Accurate weighing/inspection of ingredients in production.
• Monitor mixing systems.
• Administration of process verification/production information, sanitation of mixing tanks/processes, adjustments of batches as required and general knowledge of all process equipment used in production.
• Unload and receive HFCS.
• Transfer syrup to bulk tankers.
• Ensure quality of raw materials used in manufacturing.
• Drive forklift.
• Rotate inventory (FIFO) to minimize shelf life issues.
• Prioritize mixing schedule for production and operational efficiency.
• Route all outgoing shipments through various means of transportation following standard procedures.
• Prioritize workload and expedites as required to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Measure and weigh cartons.
• Insure that loads are properly secured in accordance with DOT and Company requirements.
• Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and notifies supervisor when reorder is required.
• Handles medium to heavy weights.
• Packs accessory orders using designated materials.
• Perform computer transactions (shipping functions in Prism).
• Operates fork truck, door plate and other equipment in shipping area as required.
• Continuously monitors the process, ensuring that products are distributed in a timely manner.
• Fills in at various positions when needed including but not limited to mixing, shipping and receiving, and maintenance.
• Works closely with production line operators to ensure product availability.
• Complete necessary bills of lading or air bills.
• Maintain daily file of shipments and report daily figures as needed.
• Handle all other administrative details for receipt and shipment of product.
Other Functions:
• Fills in on any lines when needed
