Operations Specialist

Position Purpose

•  Support Service centres by monitoring programs and processes for quality, safety and production. Supporting and driving continuous improvement through the above.

Major/Key Accountibilities

•  Develop and monitor all activities to ensure adherence to best practices and standardization.
•  Works closely with the Service Centre Manager to develop and improve SC operations including safety, quality, and productivity.  
•  Monitors and support compliance to GAVT element schedule.
    -  Provide training to Centres on Zero Harm and Operational.
    -  Responsibility for random quality audits
    -  Performance GAP analyses
    -  Align all SC’s to standardized processes and controls.
•  Supports analysis of productivity and procurement to facilitate identification of opportunities.

•  Strong oral and written presentation skills


•  Post-secondary education, preferably Engineering or Business
•  Previous experience in an analytical or operational role an asset
•  Practical experience in a production / industrial environment desirable


•  Familiarity with relevant areas of supply chain management, an asset
•  Effective trainer
•  Continuous Improvement experience
•  Excel skills required

Fonctions du poste

•  Appuyer les centres de service en surveillant les programmes et les processus pour veiller à la qualité, à la sécurité et à la productivité Soutenir et favoriser l’amélioration continue par le biais des programmes et processus précités

Principales responsabilités

•  Créer et surveiller toutes les activités pour assurer le respect des pratiques exemplaires et la normalisation
•  Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le responsable du centre de service pour élaborer et améliorer les activités du CS, notamment sur le plan de la sécurité, de la qualité et de la productivité  
    -   Surveiller et veiller au respect des échéanciers pour l’outil de vérification des audits Gap
    -   Offrir une formation dans les centres sur le programme Zéro Dommage et les opérations
    -   Effectuer des audits impromptus de la qualité
    -    Effectuer des analyses GAP
•  Veiller à ce que tous les CS adoptent des processus et des mesures de contrôle standardisées
•  Soutenir l’analyse de la productivité et de l’approvisionnement pour faciliter l’identification des occasions

•  Aptitudes analytiques
•  Aptitudes interpersonnelles
•  Solides aptitudes de présentation orale et écrite


•  Éducation post-secondaire, de préférence en ingénierie ou commerce
•  Expérience à un poste analytique ou d'exploitation un atout
•  Expérience pratique dans un milieu industriel/de production souhaitable

Compétences et connaissances

•  Connaissance des secteurs pertinents de la gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, un atout
•  Formateur efficace
•  Expérience sur le plan de l'amélioration continue
•  Excellentes connaissances du logiciel Excel requises
