Are you our next Team Member?

We are currently seeking a Mine Engineer at our Esterhazy, SK location. The successful candidate is accountable for completion of assigned mine engineering projects, technical input to the Mine Engineering group and central dispatch coverage as assigned.  Responsible for assigning projects and work tasks to junior engineers and technical staff.


What will you be working on?


  • Ensure employee safety through compliance with all safety and mine regulations, company policy and regulations.

  • Conduct research and studies required to identify practical, economic solutions to meet engineering requirements of assigned projects.  Prepare timely, thorough, well written reports as required.

  • Provide engineering assistance and technical guidance to supervisors, crews or contractors, as directed.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of engineering developments and trends within field of expertise.  Recommend changes or modifications applicable to operations.

  • Understand, promote and operate by overall company vision and values, goals, objectives and strategies.



What is required for this role?


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, major in Mining/Mechanical/Geological.

  • Must be able to communicate and work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Must be able to work co-operatively in relationships bridging various levels of authority.

  • Five to ten years experience in an underground mine environment.

  • Accountable for timely completion of assigned engineering projects and technical input within the Mine Engineering group.

  • Recommendations are limited to problem solution within the framework of a larger project rather than end results.

  • Technical tasks completed are subject, wholly or in part, to practices and procedures covered by precedent, well defined policy and supervisory review.

  • Potential for continuous improvement within scope of Mine Engineering projects assigned.

  • Must have management skills necessary to complete projects within timelines established.

  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
