Task Description:

You manage and optimise the BICS supplier portfolio for telecom capacity services worldwide. 

 

Therefore:

  • You scan the telecoms market and drive the selection process for new vendors to cover BICS capacity needs in all relevant regions in the world. 

  • Together with Capacity Traders, you make sure that BICS has the best commercial and operational frame agreements with our capacity suppliers.  This includes pricing frameworks, Service Level Agreements, performance guarantees/penalties and return business. 

  • You make sure that BICS has fully developed contracts with all our suppliers covering all relevant aspects of our buying activity for capacity products.

  • You implement the operational relationship with new vendors, you set-up the operational contacts, you define / document / communicate the associated internal instructions and processes to all impacted teams across BICS;

  • You set-up a preferred supplier structure, that will support the product strategy set-up by product management, and will enable BICS to get the best capacity services at the best possible price for our customers.  You interact with the Capacity Operations team to make sure that the preferred supplier structure is effective and is used adequately.   

  • You set-up and drive service reviews with major suppliers, follow-up on SLAs compliance by suppliers and make sure that BICS puts the right pressure on them to achieve the expected level of quality for BICS customers;

  • In close collaboration with the Cost Manager, you identify cost saving opportunities and drive the discussions with suppliers in order to reduce the network and local access costs as much as possible;

  • You participate in managing the relationship with existing suppliers in collaboration with the Capacity Traders by providing the feedback on the operational and commercial performance of the supplier proposing/requesting operational improvements and identifying new opportunities in the supplier’s portfolio that would support BICS requirements.  

 

 

 

Your Profile:

  • You have a relevant and broad experience in supplier management and this preferably in an international environment; Experience in the telecom sector is a plus;

  • You have a Master degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience; You are fluent in English and Dutch or French; Any other language is an asset;

  • You are ready to occasionally travel for short trips or attend events, in order to meet vendors;

  • You can develop and maintain long term and trust relationships with your vendors and your colleagues within BICS across multiple departments (Commercial, Fulfilment, Legal, Finance);

  • You can easily communicate with the vendors in a professional way and represent BICS’ interests during negotiations with third parties;

  • You can easily cope with different cultural specificities in a multicultural, innovative and changing environment;

  • You are result oriented and stress resistant;

  • You are communicative and assertive;
  • You can work independently and identify opportunities to achieve objectives in a most effective and efficient way
