The role

An opportunity has arisen for a junior developer to join an established software team based in Blackburn. You'll be working on a cutting-edge debugger for a well respected global market leader, taking responsibility for a variety of exciting tasks. You'll need to be flexible, a fast learner and eager to demonstrate that you can make a real contribution in a fast-paced, professional software development environment.

This is a temporary (1 year) position and would ideally suit a fresh graduate or possibly an undergraduate taking a gap year, but you must be available for immediate start.

Job Requirements

Education and Qualifications

Your degree should be in a computing discipline.

Skills and Experience

You will need exposure to object-orientated software development, and knowledge of Python scripting and Java would definitely be a bonus. However for this role enthusiasm, ambition and a burning desire to get your career off to a flying start are more important than commercial experience. This is a very rare opportunity to work as part of a professional software development team in a multi-national FTSE 100 company - the experience you'll gain here will be amazing and will definitely look fantastic on your CV!
