Background:

ARM develops high performance CPU cores and IP that lies at the heart of many of today’s digital devices. Customers demand high quality and reliable IP, as the cost of design iterations is extremely high and shorter design cycles are required. Against this background, ARM has adopted a 'right-first-time' methodology and recognizes the need for robust Validation of ARM IP. System Verification is a big challenge requiring an engineering skill set that is both broad and deep. The Senior Verification Engineer will be responsible for good quality system verification of Processor IPs.

Key Accountabilities :



  • Technical ownership of Project to deliver effective System Verification of ARM IP.
  • Planning and coordination of tasks to meet Design Verification goals on time and with quality.
  • Maintain a competent knowledge of company processes in order to work constructively within given standards and methodologies.
  • Work with stakeholders; informing, communicating progress.



Essential Technical Experience :


  • Good university Degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Other Science graduates would be considered if they have relevant experience.
  • 6+ years engineering experience in an IP/SOC product development environment with evidence and willingness of doing Technical Leadership of a team of highly skilled engineers.
  • In-depth understanding of at least one multi-core application class microprocessor that is used for parallel computing.
  • Expertise in developing Random Instruction Sequences for a multi-processor system with very good understanding of memory coherency issues.
  • Excellent C++ programming skills with good understanding of compilers/linkers.
  • Scripting experience (preferably Perl/python)
  • Experienced in Software Development Cycle.
  • Experience of using Emulation tools, silicon test chips, boards and FPGAs for hardware platform based design verification and debugging skills.



Desirable Technical Experience:



  • Familiar with Embedded Software Development flows and best practices.
  • Languages: C++, Assembler, Perl, Python.
  • Familiarity of UNIX / Linux working environment.
  • Experience of ARM based System Designs.
  • Basic understanding of Linux OS and kernels will be an added advantage.
  • Post silicon verification experience of CPUs.

  • Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work well as part of an equally experienced teams both locally, and also with remote or multi-site teams.
