Qualifications
( ** Data Warehouse Administrator I / Reporting ** )
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
High School Diploma is required (*Bachelor's Degree is preferable).
1+ year direct experience writing clinical reports from a Data Warehouse using any of the following tools (Business Objects CE, Hyperion or Cognos).
1+ year direct experience working with Relational Databases (ie: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Epic Clarity Data Marts, Data Analysis, Extraction, Presentation, Standardization, and Transformation is preferable.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Design EPIC Clarity Reporting solution integrating multiple source systems working with industry leading ETL tool.
Creates business views and security definitions for groups and individuals to include: upgrading software for new versions or modules; design and deployment of Epic Clarity Reporting solution; working with the data warehouse DBA and ETL architect to help the team develop high performance and highly scalable Clarity Report design architecture; working with the DBA to help develop stored procedures, complex SQL queries and PL/SQL.
Determining the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source system platforms and moving it to the data warehouse.
Design and specify source data detection and extraction processes.
Define and capture Clarity metadata rules.
Design and implement automation of data loading and cleansing processes.
Developing/updating appropriate Service Desk documentation for change.
Monitors system performance statistics to ensure the changes perform within standards while mentoring/assisting others.
Demonstrates thorough understanding of data warehousing design, building, middleware components, metadata, data source, and data target networking in a multiple-platform environment.
Ensures that infrastructure components are used consistently to facilitate effective development of Data Warehouse processes and intuitive user deliverables considering end-user reporting.
Performs routine support of assigned system with little or no supervision.
Solves system problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Is responsive to customer issues.
Communicates with customer, project team and vendors in a timely manner.
Support and maintain the development, test and production Clarity Data Warehouse environment.
Coordinates program and/or data moves from development to test/education and production regions working independently, while mentoring/assisting others.
Review Knowledge Base Documentation periodically, updating as needed working independently.
Designing and developing Crystal Reports.
Optimizes reports for use of Crystal Enterprise Environment.
Designs and maintains Epic clarity business reporting and analysis needs while perserving consistency, intuitive usage, quality data, and timely availability.
Provide effective solutions by assisting both technological and business communities with Clarity Report utilization.
Identify, develop and document detailed data requirements and detailed specifications through the Data Reporting life cycle integrating with existing environment.
Experience analyzing source systems and perform data mapping between disparate databases/data sources and do gap analysis working with production data to validate business requirements.
Perform detailed data analysis including data quality and consistency by monitoring production data.
Analyze and develop strategies for data acquisitions, archives, recovery, and implementation of a database on an enterprise level.
Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source system platforms and moving it to the Data Warehouse.
Develops the detailed, accurate, complete, cost-effective and resource-conservative design solutions that cleanly integrate with existing products and provide an easy path for future enhancements, by examining all possible courses of action and displaying sound logic and reasoning to arrive at an optimum solution.

Specifies user-oriented system requirements.
Identifies major hardware and software components.
Describes key files and data elements including descriptions, purpose, usage and validation rules for these.
Identifies in detail, input and output specifications, including input source(s), output media, retention requirements, screen and report layouts.
Defines program-to-program and system-to-system flows.
Works with Data Warehouse Administrators to develop an overall efficient Reporting solution for THR Stakeholders.
Evaluate potential clarity data sources from the data warehouse environment through data and technological reviews.
Interview end-users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance.
Develop processes for capturing and maintaining metadata documentation from all DW and reports.
Works with users to identify appropriate algorithms in order to ensure business-rule based data validation and correction to anomalies.
Works with end-users and application coordinators to understand clinical workflows as related to Clarity report design and the reports that are requested.
Works with DBA to create and modify materialized views.
Monitors upgrades, release notes and special updates related to Clarity tables.
Upgrades/maintains reporting sharepoint site and related sharepoint sites as needed with new reports, training information and new changes/policies affecting the reporting team.
Design, build, and maintain processes that promote data quality through exception reporting, data standardization and calculation, and business rules validation. Reports findings back through both IS management and customer data stewards.
Work with production data to monitor and report on data conditions and quality.
